“Not Just On Sunday” is an original Christian country song by Red Dirt Grace, written by Michael Deason. Inspired by a conversation with his spiritual mentor, Mike Wells, it celebrates God’s constant love and presence in everyday life.
From Monday morning worries to quiet moments at home, the song is a reminder that faith is a daily relationship: minute by minute, moment by moment.

In Michael’s words
The inspiration for Not Just on Sunday came from a conversation with my spiritual mentor, Mike Wells of Abiding Life Ministries International, that has stayed with me ever since.
He asked me a simple question:
“How many days a year does God desire to love you, be with you, and fellowship with you?”
The answer was obvious.
365 days a year.
Then he asked,
“How many hours a day does God desire to love you, be with you, and fellowship with you?”
24 hours a day.
“How many minutes in an hour does God desire to love you, be with you, and fellowship with you?”
60 minutes an hour.
“How many seconds in a minute does God desire to love you, be with you, and fellowship with you?”
60 seconds a minute.
Then he smiled and said, “Moment by moment, God desires to love you, be with you, and fellowship with you.”
That simple truth changed the way I thought about my relationship with God.
So often we think of God as someone we meet at church on Sunday morning. But Scripture reminds us that He never clocks out. He walks with us on Monday mornings, sits with us in the quiet moments, comforts us in the hard seasons, celebrates our victories, and never leaves us in our failures.
God isn’t looking for one day a week. He’s inviting us into a relationship that lasts every moment of every day.
That conversation became the seed for this song.
My prayer is that Not Just on Sunday reminds you that God’s presence isn’t limited to a church building. He is with you in the ordinary moments, the difficult moments, and the joyful moments. His love is constant.
365 days a year.
24 hours a day.
60 minutes an hour.
60 seconds a minute.
Moment by moment… He wants all of you.
Blessings,
Red Dirt Grace.

I used to think You met me there
In Sunday songs and folding chairs
In stained glass light and altar calls
A holy hush inside those walls
But Monday came with worried eyes
Bad news, long roads, and heavy skies
And right there in my ordinary
I found out You were more than Sunday
In the coffee and the chaos
In the healing, in the searching
You have never been a God
Who only shows up once a week
Not just on Sunday
Not just in a church pew seat
You want my Monday morning
My Saturday night, my everything
Three sixty-five, twenty-four seven
Minute by minute, moment by moment
You stay close, You never run away
Your love don’t clock out at the end of the day
Not just on Sunday
You want all of me
You’re with me in the kitchen light
In the sleepless dark at 2 a.m.
In the tear rolled down, the laugh out loud
In the questions I can’t answer yet
When I’m strong and when I’m barely standing
When this life gets hard to understand
You don’t wait for me to get cleaned up
You meet me right where I am
In the coffee and the chaos
In the healing, in the searching
You have never been a God
Who only shows up once a week
Not just on Sunday
Not just in a church pew seat
You want my Monday morning
My Saturday night, my everything
Three sixty-five, twenty-four seven
Minute by minute, moment by moment
You stay close, You never run away
Your love don’t clock out at the end of the day
Not just on Sunday
You want all of me
Every second, every breath
Every worry, every step
You are nearer than the air
Closer than the hurt I bear
You want fellowship, not fragments
Daily bread, not leftovers
A living walk, a living love
A Father who comes close
Not just on Sunday
Not just when the saints all sing
You want my Tuesday trouble
My Wednesday wounds, my everything
Three sixty-five, twenty-four seven
Right here on earth with the heart of heaven
You stay close, You never run away
Your love don’t clock out at the end of the day
Not just on Sunday
You want all of me
Yeah, not just on Sunday
You walk with me
Moment by moment
Step by step
You have never left me
